WE Communications Doubled Down on Two Big Bets in 2023

PRWeek, 7 May, 2024

In 2023, WE also celebrated its 40th anniversary. "When we started this company in 1983, we placed a bet on technology and how it's going to change everything. It was a good bet," explains Zorkin.

The second bet, having a people-centric mentality. In 2023, WE expanded its mentorship program to LGBTQIA+ employees. And DE&I training was strengthened to mid-to-senior leadership.

Based on these two bets, PRWeek honored WE Communications with the Culture and Innovation Distinction badges in 2023.

That said, after two consecutive years of solid growth, WE experienced a revenue decline in 2023. "World events influenced the business landscape and hit the tech sector pretty hard, which we weren't immune," says Melissa Waggener Zorkin, global CEO and president.
