The Internship Program provides resources, training and support for kick-starting a career in communications. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn firsthand from expert PR professionals how strategic communications helps our clients achieve business objectives.
  • Build your media relations skills and instinct for identifying trends that matter for clients. 
  • Collaborate with a We. team to respond to client requests, manage editorial and analyst requests, develop story ideas, pitch stories to journalists, and plan for major events. 
  • Participate in training to build and strengthen essential skills, including corporate and industry best practices, and personal brand reputation.

Here’s what We. is looking for in you (U.S. only):

  • Candidates who are passionate communicators, lifelong learners and keepers of our agency values: Inclusion, Accountability, Collaboration and Courage.
  • One year of professional experience or previous work in comms or a comms-related field.
  • Available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in your time zone.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Strong written communications skills, with minimal grammatical and spelling errors.
  • Robust analytical abilities to synthesize information into well-organized, professional and concise written materials.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the following areas:
    • Proactive engagement, teamwork and collaboration
    • Accountability, and ability to be flexible in ambiguous and stressful situations
    • Professionalism when giving and receiving feedback
    • Manages multiple projects simultaneously
    • Works under deadline pressure while maintaining grace

Location:

We. hires interns in the U.S. for our Bellevue, Portland, San Francisco and New York offices, and in Austin based on business needs. Each internship posting notes the location(s) where we’re hiring for that role. Candidates must be in-market to be eligible for the program.

Hybrid experience:

The program is conducted virtually across North America, but interns must be in the local office every Tuesday, Wednesday and one additional day of their choice (teams may have extra requirements).
