Kisja Burgess

Kisja focuses on the expansion of the agency’s corporate affairs capabilities, to help clients navigate today’s increasingly complex business landscape. A strategist with more than 25 years of experience, she helps companies manage their brands through multifaceted innovation and trust campaigns across many disciplines — strategic media relations, crisis communications, product and service launches, public affairs, and employee communications.

Kisja is also a member of We.’s global executive team, playing a critical role in shaping the agency’s growth strategy and expansion efforts.  

A key pillar of Kisja’s role is leading We.’s global communications strategy for Microsoft, where she has been a senior advisor during multiple technology platform shifts and some of the most defining moments in the company history. She counsels clients on shifting regulatory landscapes, cultural transformation and emerging topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data privacy, sustainability, intellectual property rights and litigation. She is also skilled at the art of influence across communications channels, with particular expertise in translating complex topics into compelling narratives that foster connection, trust and business impact.  

Kisja also spearheaded We.’s partnership with ROKK Solutions, a bipartisan public affairs firm based in Washington, D.C. Together, the two agencies provide an integrated approach to corporate and public affairs, combining deep policy and government expertise with reputation management, brand storytelling and corporate communications.  

A collaborative leader, Kisja has a proven track record of building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of innovation in corporate communications. She is passionate about partnering with companies to build resilient reputations, manage risk and drive meaningful engagement with stakeholders.  

Outside work, Kisja enjoys skiing with her sons and cultivating a summer garden — where she takes particular pride in growing the perfect tomatoes.
