Chief Talent Officer

About

Kate

As Chief Talent Officer, Kate delivers on the agency’s vision to be the employer of choice among professionals who want to use the gift of communications to move people to positive action. Kate’s global HR team drives We.’s independent, energetic and collaborative company culture, based on values of employee engagement and development, diversity and inclusion, and putting people and purpose first. Kate’s personal goal is to ensure every person at We. has the support, education, training and resources they need to thrive — and to take the agency into the future.

Before her CTO role, Kate served as vice president and Microsoft account chief of staff. She has led cross-functional teams to design and launch development programs that inspire team members to learn collaboratively, live boldly and give back. Her work on inclusion helped earn the agency a 100% rating in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), which measures U.S. corporate policies and practices that impact LGBTQ employees. She has also contributed to partnerships with ColorComm and The LAGRANT Foundation to support the advancement of people of color within the communications industry.

As a proud mother of two and the world’s worst cook, Kate’s more likely to be found at the latest restaurant than in the kitchen. Her version of outdoorsy is more rosé on a deck than camping—but she’s very much open to glamping. Her go-to karaoke song, performed only under duress and with a large group: Livin’ on a Prayer by Bon Jovi.
